Need To Know

Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma offers six different activities at no additional charge. These include canoeing excurions and walking safaris. Rates include: All meals and drinks(except premium brands), game viewing activities, park fees, laundry, emergency evacuation and transfers to and from Livingstone airport. Health: We advise all travellers to take precautions against malaria and we recommend speaking with your GP or personal physician four to six weeks before departure. Rates exclude: Transfers to and from Victoria Falls Town, Victoria Falls Airport, Heritage Fee when doing a tour of the falls, additional activities, Spa treatments, required visas, premium brands and airport taxes.

Wildlife

Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park is one of Zambia's smallest parks, it provides a home to elephant, hippo, giraffe, buffalo, warthog, zebra, impala, vervet monkeys and baboon and rhino. The park has a relaxed, un-hastened atmosphere due to the lack of predators, which makes ideal conditions for photo opportunities.

Sussi Tree houses We welcome all children aged 9 and above at the Sussi Tree houses â€¢Children aged 16 and younger are required to share with their parents. â€¢Children aged 9 - 11 pay 50% of the adult rate, please note the child must share with at least one full paying adult. â€¢Children 12 years and above are charged the applicable adult rate. Chuma houses We welcome children of all ages at the Chuma houses â€¢Chuma House can accommodate 4 people and the house rate applies

Accommodation

Twelve luxury tree houses are built into the canopy of majestic ebony trees lining the river bank. The air-conditioned rooms all with their own private viewing deck boast superb views over the white waters of the Zambezi. And if the fancy takes you, enjoy a private dinner on your deck, while the sounds of the bush provide enchanting background music.The two private Chuma Houses are perfect for families with young children. Each house has two en suite bedrooms, a spacious lounge and dining area and private plunge pool. Each of the houses also come with their own private chef and house staff.

Season

The falls are at their fullest in April and May each year. Dry season is in October. The â€œwetâ€ season is normally December to March, and has variable weather conditions. The â€œdryâ€ season is from May to November. June to August are the coolest months, with cold mornings and evenings. October is the hottest month in Zambia, so be prepared for temperatures of over 40Â°C.
